Pen-Pal Teddies

Hayes Park Primary School was fortunate enough to be donated 200 beautifully hand-knitted and uniquely designed teddies from a very successful charity ‘Teddies for Tragedies’. The teddies were donated via the Steve Sinnott Foundation.

Each teddy has its own carry bag and all the Key Stage 1 children at Hayes park school have written a pen pal letter to accompany each teddy, in its bag.

The teddies will be sent to Jheksang school over the summer holidays and once the teddies have arrived at Jheksang School each child will receive their own teddy with a pen pal letter.

All of our children at Hayes Park are eagerly awaiting a reply from the Nepali friend!

A disposable camera has been included in the package (which weighs over 21kg!) so that the children of Jheksang can send pictures of themselves and their school back to Hayes Park.

Well done everyone at Hayes Park for your support and a huge thank you to Teddies For Tragedies for their donation.
