West Derby Fundraiser

The West Derby School, Liverpool, have raised £1,203 for their partner school, The Ganodaya Secondary School.

On 21st June 2011, over 100 boys took part in a 3km run to raise money for our partner school in Nepal. When the run started it was a glorious day, blue skies and sunshine, but half way through the heavens opened! All the boys ran well, enjoyed themselves, and played a full part in the event.

Each boy ran around the sports field 10 times, receiving a hand stamp every lap.

£1,203 was raised for our chosen charity and this was presented to the Steve Sinott Foundation in assembly on the 18th July 2011.

The best fundraisers were:

  • Jack Billinge 8D
  • Sam Masson 9W
  • Thomas Kyle 10S
  • Connor Hayes 11
A fantastic effort, boys!

We are awaiting feedback on how the funds can be best utilised by Ganodaya school as soon as they return from holidays.
