The Everest Challenge 2026:

• The event is Virtual: anywhere, anytime on or before October 23rd, 2026

• Mount Everest is 8,848m high and the challenge is to complete:

  • • 8,848m as a Single Row or Ski or 17,696m Bike, or

    • 8,848m row as a Pairs team

Event Detail:

• Virtual event:

  • • Complete anywhere, anytime on or before October 23rd, 2026

    • Entry closes at 23:59 on October 23rd, 2026

    • After your race, take a photo of the race result on your machine's monitor

    • Enter your race result (once per team) by 23:59 on October 23rd, 2026

Races & Rules:

• Singles races are: 8,848m as a Single Row or Ski or 17,696m Bike.

• Team races are: Pairs 8,848m as a Row.

• Team races are to be shared approximately equally at around 4,424m per person.

• Machines must be set to Single Distance so as to count down from the appropriate distance

• Each team decides their own changeover strategy: 500m and 2 minutes are popular changeovers.

• Team members may help fix/release rowing machine foot-straps.

• Safety is paramount, practice is essential, check your machine, keep spectators at a safe distance.

• Teams must mount from the left and dismount to the right to avoid collisions within and between teams. 

Results:

• Categories for results purposes:

  • • Single: Male and Female within age categories.

    • Teams: Male, Female and Mixed.

• Results announced on the GOAT Games app and at the GOAT Games Xmas Party & Awards Night .
